SAP Modules
SAP (Systems, Applications, and Products in Data Processing) offers a wide range of software modules designed to address various business processes within an organization. These modules are integrated to provide seamless flow of information across the organization. As of my last update in January 2022, here are some of the key SAP modules:
SAP ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning): SAP ERP is a suite of integrated applications that help businesses manage their core processes in one centralized system. It includes modules for finance, sales, procurement, manufacturing, supply chain management, and human resources.
SAP CRM (Customer Relationship Management): This module focuses on managing customer relationships, including sales, marketing, and customer service activities.
SAP SCM (Supply Chain Management): SCM module helps in managing the entire supply chain process, including procurement, production, distribution, and logistics.
SAP SRM (Supplier Relationship Management): SRM module is designed to streamline the procurement process, managing supplier relationships and optimizing procurement operations.
SAP PLM (Product Lifecycle Management): PLM module helps in managing the entire lifecycle of a product, from inception, through engineering design and manufacturing, to service and disposal.
SAP HCM (Human Capital Management): This module focuses on managing HR processes, including payroll, benefits administration, time and attendance, and workforce planning.
SAP BW/BI (Business Warehouse/Business Intelligence): This module is used for data warehousing and business intelligence. It allows businesses to analyze and interpret their data to make informed decisions.
SAP BusinessObjects: This is a suite of front-end applications that allow business users to view, sort, and analyze business intelligence data. It includes tools for reporting, query and analysis, and data visualization.
SAP Business Planning and Consolidation (BPC): BPC module helps in budgeting, planning, forecasting, and financial consolidation processes.
SAP S/4HANA: S/4HANA is an integrated enterprise resource planning (ERP) suite developed by SAP. It includes modules for various business functions like finance, sales, manufacturing, and supply chain management. S/4HANA is designed to run on the SAP HANA in-memory database, providing real-time analytics and processing capabilities.
